In my time, courtesy of company cars, I have tried the BMW's, the Mercs, the Volvo's etc etc.

Now retired and I have in the last few months (finally) changed my Volvo for a 56 plate 1.9 TDI Octavia. Why did I not do this years ago? Why did you guys keep quiet on this car?

What economy, what value for money. It's a pleasure to go driving now.

Finally I get to drive the best.

Glad your liking the Octavia, they are superb. My dad has one and when we went to go and test drive it, the dealer stomped down his foot and we were thrown into our seats in such astonishment. These cars guard a close kept secret. Only had I ever felt so much enjoyment before in the likes of the BMW's. Skoda and VAG for that matter certainly have the upper hand where German meets Czech engineering at a more realistic price point.
