Carpet mats - Where to go?

Featured Replies

I'm looking at getting some new carpet mats for my superb. Does anyone know the approx cost of these from a dealer and does anyone have experience of the ones that are sold on e-bay or other online retailers, good or bad.

My current mats all have the fastening turnbuckles that hold them in place, would aftermarket ones have the fixings in the correct places?

Any help would be much appreciated.:)

i got a set for my fabia from a dealer, and they are crap!!

My Skoda ones are quite good, £50 a set of 4 iirc.

I had the skoda ones put in mine and think they are very good, but they were expensive, but at least you know they will fit nicely, mount into the clips, plus they have superb written on them!

Only thing that struck me was, isn't the car supposed to have them as standard? I bought an ex demo but still had to pay the extra for the carpets and mudflaps btw...

How expensive was expensive?

I don't remember exactly, but I am fairly sure they were just over £40 for the set...

Oh, that's not bad at all. I was looking at some aftermarket ones that were £65 for a set of four without the fastenings.

I will see if I can find the receipt tonight, I got them with the car so I should still have the price somewhere...

Can you buy them individually? My recently brought Superb has done 80K+ miles, all mats other than the driver's have no wear. The driver's however has worn through where your heel would sit when operating the clutch.

Obviously I don't want to spend £40+ on a complete set.

Hi to you to, have a look one of the previous posts in this thread with a link to an ebay site. I've just been looking at some for my wife's car. You'll have to trawl through to about page 8 or 9.

Sounds like its a phone call to the service department at your local dealer. On the back of your worn mat may be your original production label with a part number. If you manage this before I do, please post your finding.

Ok - thanks I will look at that. Let me know if you find something!
