dont think its a chep one ment to give out 160 bhp and a hand full of touque. do they fit any car tho thats wat i need to no coz its from an okty vrs

If its the same engine i would have thought it was ok, but im not a tech so cant say for sure.

You need to find out if it's just a resistor or not.

If it is, then all you'll do is lose your MPG.

i thought the Octy VRS diesel produced 170bhp

if its for the 2.0litre diesel , i don't think it will fit on the Fabia VRS engine

update on box have fitted it to car now seems ok its more like a piggy back ecu as its a silver box that plugs in . car seems to be running fine and i have a handfull of more toruqe and bhp

If it's a piggyback interceptor, you'll be running a wrong map, cos the Furbie and Octy vRSTDis have different engines in them!

If you can find where it came from (manufacturer), they might be able to put a better map on it for you cheap.

If it is, then all you'll do is lose your MPG.

Does it plug in in the engine bay, or is it plugged in to the ECU itself? I suspect it's just a normal sensor fooling one that plugs into the fuel temperature sender :D

Spoofing the engine into thinking it's running cold, and hence causing it to overfuel.

And overfuelling = more power.............

Also = fewer miles per gallon, even when you're not using the power.

That's not my experience (or a lot of other tuning box user's experience), but hey ho :D

That's using proper tuning boxes though - I'm referring to the resistors disguised as tuning boxes.

hi rite it plugs into the engine bay and is wired into the battery . car seems to be running ok tho but is chukking a smoke cloud out he eshaust tho . it also has differant settings on the box from high to low ....

I've used both kinds - there's nothing to chose between them imho..... At the end of the day they all change the resistance to fool sensors, resulting in the ECU overfuelling....
