Anyone want to swap a normal headrest with an Alpine monitor mounted one?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Not sure about this yet, but I am just checking out if there is anyone out there that would be interested in a straight swap of:

2x Black Nappa Leather Skoda Superb headrests with:

my 2xBlack nappa leather Skoda Superb headrests professionally mounted with Alpine TME-M770 6.5" LCD touchscreen monitors. The monitors were RRP £599 each.

Installation will be down to whoever takes them, but it is a bargain for someone!:)

This is not a scam/hoax, there is a genuine reason for this and I'm sure Lummox can vouch for me and the kit.

(sorry it seems Lummox isnt here anymore....)

Would be interested in this but I have beige cloth headrests and I am thinking your price for these will be a fair bit........

I'm not greatly into ICE in this way and it's not something I was thinking of doing before, but that sort of deal does spark interest. How do you connect to the screens? Any restrictions on the type of equipment that can be connected? What's the significance of being touchscreen monitors? (presumably they work?). Something to consider, but I need to consider whether they would ever get used.

I'm not after money but a straight swap. However it would need to be Black Nappa Leather headrests.

I understand the original leather covers from Skoda cost £93+vat each, so if you wanted them, it would cost £93+vat x2 so that I can retrim them.

Hi,

Yeah, assuming they are in full working order I would be interested. Would need to check mine are black and not just dark grey 1st! And also that a mate of mine could fit them. Can I ask reason for wanting swap?

Ben.

If you need confirmation on trim colours if you both PM me your chassis numbers I can confirm they are the same, if it helps. :)

The seats are definitely black, and it has to be the Nappa leather.

Reason for swap? The car is a lease vehicle and I need to return it to Standard as the lease ends in April.

The car served as a demo vehicle for Alpine Electronics. TME-M770 is no longer a current model, and we cannot sell a 3 year obsolete monitor as it is second hand(although hardly used, in excellent condition and in full working order). It would also cost us money to buy new headrests, so this way its a win-win with whoever we can do a swap with.

Ok, I will check trim code and let you know.

Ben.

I've got a pair of Black leather head rests. 05 Elegance

Is there a trim code that identifies it as Nappa?

I assume they take standard inputs for TV/games/DVD?

What's the year of the vehicle that you're trying to match?

If it's an 05 Elegance (and I'm guessing but it may be coming to the end of a 3 year lease) and it has black full leather seats then it's likely to match.

I'm in London as well. How about meeting so we can compare the colours?

Thanks

Hi Atsu,

Have sent you PM.

Thanks

Ben

My car is a 05 Elegance with Full Leather. This was an option at the time as the standard spec was partial leather. The partial leather seat headrests are not Nappa Leather so will not be a match. If the car has full leather, then it will match.

Same car, Full leather - black

Do you wan to meet?
