Steering Angle Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi There,

This is my first post. My name was meant to Brian54 (touch of finger trouble I'm afraid).

I bought a Y reg Skoda Fabia Elegance about 10 months ago, and had the usual trouble with flickering headlights, steering warning on the dash, erratic engine running, and changing window switches.

So it's just a word of thanks to your site for sorting my problem. The advice on your threads was to change the steering anle sensor. My local Skoda garage advised changing the battery and checking the wiring, which I agreed to at £140.

Their next suggestion was to change the steering pump at £740! Instead I opted for a change of steering angle sensor at £140, and guess what ? it cured the problem with the flickering lights, steering warning, erratic engine running, and changing window switches,

BRILLIANT ! and thanks.

Unfortunately my Skoda pulls to the left, regardless of road camber. Tracking and four wheel alighment are spot on. I notice other people have had similar problems. Do ALL Skoda Fabias do this, or just old ones ? and has anybody actually cured this problem on ANY Fabia ? if so PLEASE tell me HOW ?

Welcome.

It's nice to know we have helped.

Try the search for your other problem - Anti Roll bar might be a starting point.

Hello and welcome. Glad you found your answers. When I owned a Fabia TDi it also seemed to pull to the left, had it checked and they said all was well. Told me all the Fabias did this, i don't think they should.

welcome to briskoda
