Just been told by my skoda garage that I need a new catalytic converter for my VRS. £500 plus fitting!! There is a rattle from inside it and they say it is breaking up. Are there generic equivalents which are cheaper and just as good? Can the old one be repaired etc. Thanks for the info....I cant really afford to pay out that kind of money at the moment.:eek:
