Oil & Filter Change @ National Tyres

Featured Replies

I didnt read the links but a couple of years ago i got all my oil and filter changes done at national as they were £15 for the complete job and semi - synthetic oil. But then they either realised their mistake or realised it was being under sold and changed their deal for SS to £24.99 - Still good if you ask me.

I just had the one overfill problem but was quickly rectified.

I think its duckams they use.

:)

Do they do a 'proper' oil change, i.e. remove sump plug etc, or do they just suck the oil out through the filler cap?

Very cheap change with castrol edge for fully synthetic oil. Yes they do remove the plug.

Just out of interest how does one go about sucking the oil out from the sump through the filler cap ?

Do they have a machine especially for this purpose

Don't they suck it out from the dipstick receptacle?

I can't see it being very effective through the filler cap.

You use something like Laser Fluid Extractor - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys to suck it out. Only problems I can think of are maybe sludge will be left at the bottom and you can't be certain the extractor has reached the bottom of the engine.

Doh, that's what I meant:O
