Shark fin antenna replacing the original

Featured Replies

Anyone here replaced the original antenna part with a shark fin antenna? (not a dummy, but a working one..)

I would like to replace mine, and would love any feedback first, i noticed there are a bunch of different products, and they also would need to fit the curve of the car's shape, and there is different methods of attaching such an antenna aswell.

My car: Skoda Octavia 1.6 SLX (1998 mod)

Hi,I have got a shark fine on my Octavia and 1. The connection's to the aerial cable on the shark fine are not the same as Skoda (VW). 2.You need a power feed for a shark fin. 3.The reception is rubbish.:( . I am going to go to a car stereo shop to see if i can get a converter to try and connect the shark fin up to the original aerial cable, hopfully this might resolve the problem.
