Battery replaced, remote locking U/S

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am due to collect 56 plate Vrs Tdi tomorrow, Local outlet (not main dealer) thought the battery was a bit lame (due to veh not being used for quite a while) so being a 'good egg' he replaced the battery with a new one to alleviate any problems for me.

Since then the remote central locking fails to lock all of the doors, will do it all manually ok.

Local Liverpool Dealer has stated they have come across this before, disconnect the new battery overnight and all should be ok on reconnection tomorrow, if not they said it would be covered under Warranty !!!!!

Train fare/ accom paid for ,so am taking the plunge and heading North in the morning,

Has anybody else had a similar problem?

If you are going to Alex Lawrie Skoda, they should sort you out. IMHO they are a 5 star dealership. :)
