4x4 Rear brakes

Featured Replies

Noticed that my brakes were squealing so checked and yes I need rear pads/discs. I was slightly surprised as the original ones lasted 31k and were not completely worn, but these have done only 18k, admittedly post remap. I thought the rears weren't supposed to be doing much? Any way are there any pitfalls in replacing them diy? Other than a winding back tool? Ooh er missus:)

Not if you are a competent DIY grease monkey, which you sound to be.

Out of interest, were the second set OEM, after market, or replacement performance pads (eg Mintex Extreme) ? :D:D

I'm not sure what they were as they were done 2 years ago when they did the remap and 40k service (at 30k:confused:). I'll find up the invoice and see if theres a make on it - so I can avoid them!
