Just discovered this whilst sitting in my 2 week old vRS. This is the front passenger seat belt cable without its plastic shroud....driver's side has one though. First fault on the list for dealer rectification.

i think its supposed to be like that . i know mines is exactly the same .. the reason the drivers one is covered is due to the cable for the seatbelt sensor

Does make you wonder though....wouldn't it be better if it was covered? Would be interesting to see if other VAG cars were the same.
