Best Turbo Upgrade For 200 (ish) BHP?

Featured Replies

Just really trying to tie-in some definative answers (if there are any). All the threads on this have blown my feckin' mind!

Is it better to get an all-out Hybrid to start with, or is it a lot cheaper to get one 'breathed' on? What do you guys who are running them think? Do Garrett do anything worth considering, as I could get some discount off a m8 who works for them.

I'd never be looking to add any more power, so would standard injectors be okay?

(Obviously I'd budget for a FMIC, exhaust system and custom map).

Thanks for your knowledge.

Isn't a standard one that has been breathed on by using bits from a stronger turbo also a hybrid?

On the furball VRS you will be looking at a lot of work to make over 200bhp I would have thought.

Have a chat with WW_VRS, Devonutopia or shifty as I think these three all run over 200bhp.

Cheers, 'Ears'!

Yeah, I was wondering if people find it cheaper to buy a standard (say a Garrett) and

then get it engineered into a hybrid. Or, is it cheaper to get one direct from say, Turbo Dynamics, where they source the lot.

I don't know what sort of discount I could get yet on a base unit, so its all a bit hypothetical at the moment.
