Hard working Octy's.

Featured Replies

We hear lots on the forum about pretty looking motors etc, but for many of us its the hard work that these cars do that inspires trust in the brand. Our 07 Octy 4x4 arrives at its first service period probably this week, that's 15,000 km and all done in 3.5 months. Yesterday it did 900km ( 2 drivers) in rain and misty conditions, followed this morning when we awoke by several of inches of snow , all over the place. So wife set out to the office, in this snow storm, from our hilly area close to Zagreb, feeling safe in the knowledge that with winter tyres still on the Octy and all the right tools ESP EDL TCS ABS and 4x4, she will remain safe, while others not so lucky she saw laying in ditches with all lights flashing. We were going to put the summer tyres on at this first service, but maybe with parts of europe now with lower temperatures again that may have to wait. Meanwhile the company Octy Tor 1.9td is in Slovakia, having done well over 50,000km in just over a year.

Very nice summary.

Tis true the Octy is a real workhorse which is often overlooked.

Hi Stu

Still snowing here, and yes "overlooked" sums up the octy's often hidden charms. Here all Skoda are getting very popular, with very good deals offered, extra tyres, service, ins, road license, all thrown in.
