TyTn II for me:thumbup:. it is superb in every respect except battery life. I charge it every night but reckon without a charge it would only do a day and a half to 2 days of use. I had the TyTnI previously and it was poo.

They are fairly new so I guess they won’t be cheap. Most of these phones are about £500 full up RRP. But you can get then much cheaper with a contract. I haggled a deal with Orange for £30 + VAT per month and got 600 minutes, Unlimited Texts 25mg of Data, Free Orange Insurance and Answerphone. It is an 18 month contract though.

If you want a smart phone I assume you will be downloading stuff, so wouldn’t it be cheaper to go through a provider and get a cheap phone deal in order to take advantage of cheap data packages?

already on a contract -got like 9 months left so after sumthin unlocked.

OK.

I would advise against the TyTn I however as I and several other people I met have had issues with it, usually meaning the phone needs a reboot, several times a day. On the other had ppl on here have reloaded software and got rid of the Providers bespoke software (mine is Orange) and had no further issues with this handset. So if you are a little bit techie it might be possible to get yourself a bit of a bargain.

interested yes - not a major fan of touch screen tho, has a sony ericcson with it an it just kept goin wrong.and would it work on o2?

Ah, the TyTn I + II are also touch screen phones (with keyboards as well). Mind you I have not had a single issue with either of my HTC phone’s touch screens:thumbup:.

i like the idea of a keyboard ya see, bit hands so i knows id touch loads a keys at once.lol

I have never had any problems with touch screens so far!

Ive had an MDA Vario, Orange spv m5000 and now a MDA Vario 3 (same as amanda's Tytn ii!) and they'll all been great.

I would definately recomend the Tytn II... i picked mine up from CEX second hand (mint condition though!!) with free delivery and 12 months warranty for £295. CeX.co.uk : We buy and sell Games, DVDs, PC Hardware & Software, Phones and Electronics online

Phil

EDIT: Just looked on their site.. the tytn 2 unlocked is slightly more at £325 CeX.co.uk : We buy and sell Games, DVDs, PC Hardware & Software, Phones and Electronics online
