Hi

Would 16cm Components be a direct/easy fit in the octavia front doors?

As i think they are 16.5cm? whats half a cm between friends!!

shouldnt be a problem will have to make new screw holes tho as the orginals wont line up coz of the .5 diffrence....

one thing to look out for...is the depth of teh speaker your putting in...i was gutted to find taht my really nice top of the line alpine speakers did not go in as they were too deep...so have had to down grade... :( apart form doing some sort of bulit in the front grill there was no way of sovling the problem because the offend item was the window runner that runs directly behind the speaker pod !!! :finger:

i had the same problem with my pioneers, as did alot of the people on here.

some have took a drimmel to the offending piece of metal and cut it away alittle to allow the speaker to fit nicely, i and a few others opted for the length of wood and hammer method :D

So what depth speakers are we talking about if this "offending" piece of metal is removed?

This might change my outlook slightly as i thought we were limited in depth!!

yes i opted for the hammer method, this easily over come but the window runner is the major pain....

guestamating ~ 3" of depth
