Hi,I have the genuine Skoda tips on my Elegance, the ones in the accesories brochure. They stick out a Little further then on the Vrs because of the different bumpers but I think they look well. Will post some pics when the hailstorms stop in Ireland.

i just buffed mine up with megs metal polish and they look quite shiny now. if i had the money spare id probably get some chrome ones fitted though

My TDI L&K has twin chrome hoover pipes as standard and they look quite nice. I wouldn't be too keen on rear firing pipes on a non DPF TDI given the amount soot a PD can kick out

I don't think the L&K pipes are available as an accessory.

I have looked into this previously and they needed the existing pipes cut to make then a straight exit.

This then allows the new ones to be simply slid and clamped on

That's what I've done on mine.

Went to one exhaust shop just for them to cut those bent ends and paid €10 for cutting. Then just slided and clamped new ones. I got from eBay ones that are narrower where you clamp them and wider on the exit. Just made sure they fit beside each other, not to be too wide. Before fitting them I've painted those pipes (or what had left of them) getting out of the exhaust. Painted them with no shine black paint. Now, when you look at my car you would never say those new ones weren't OEM. By the way, when mounting, the one closer to the side of the car needs to get in a bit more then the one closer to the center. I've seen that on Skoda site and it looks better that way. It's just to make 2-3cm difference.

Other important thing was when buying them I made sure their end wasn't 90º angle but more like facing a floor little bit.

One negative thing:

If I don't wash a car for more then two weeks, arround those pipes it gets dirty, black. My car is silver so it's very visible.

not sure of the L&K ones are different but you can get these for £47 plus fitting (or DIY)

Gilly has them on his car - I think he posted a few pics up when he fitted them.

I think i'll probably wait until i need a new back box or am feeling flush and then replace it with a stainless back box.

ooh i do like the ones with a slight angle on them.. a little expensive though, i wonder if anyone sells backboxes for the 2.0 TDI?

Seen quite a tidy looking one on E-bay recently (but can't find it right now) from I think 'Fast Styling' advertised for Fabia, Octavia II; nice stainless steel, with twin round outlets 3" IIRC for a very reasonable £49.95 plus P&P.

Alternatively the back box on all 2.0L TDI is the same, just the tailpipes are different, so vRS tailpipes would be a possibility.

One of the Back Boxes I had seen, has turned up on ebay; only £48.99 plus P&P.

details here;- SKODA FABIA OCTAVIA UNIVERSAL BACK BOX EXHAUST 8 NEW on eBay, also Exhaust Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Apr-08 22:56:00 BST)

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a dual exhaust setup like the Audi A6 TDI setup - the reason for asking is because the Scout has a blanking plate the other side which looks like its been possibly designed this way maybe for something like this?

Any VRS owners with a pipe exit each side...:D?

I'm sure he wouldn't mind but here is a pic of Harry_vRS's twin piped exhaust;-

Bought a pair of tail pipe trims from Lidl of all places on Saturday - £4.99 each and they're made of stainless steel and come with a jubilee clamp! I'll need to attack the exhaust tail pipes with an angle grinder to trim off the curved section but that's worth the considerable cost saving over the Skoda ones.

I'll post a piccie when I get around to it - April showers willing :D
