Front Passengers wiper hitting the car.

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Well I've only gone and got myself another Skoda. :) This time it's the Octavia 4x4 1.9 TDI. I'm already pleased with the fuel ecomony (over 50mpg:thumbup:) compared to my previous car.

Anyway, I noticed while driving in the rain the front wiper on the passengers side as it returns to rest position it is hitting the paintwork of the car. I don't want to damage the paintwork and the noise is annoying too.

Is there a simple fix to this?

Thanks

Gaz

Can you not re-position the wiper arm?

Indeed, remove the wiper arm by unbolting and reposition to a different spline setting . Very simple and easy fix

I agree with the above, but what paintwork is it hitting??, at the park position there is only the plastic skuttle cover.

sounds liek it may have the wrong arm if its hitting the bonnet.
