Hidy peeps

Took the car out for a quick spin this morning and again I feel the car rather sluggish, I have a Octy Vrs. This problem has happened before, and I don't know if it's my imagination but I can't hear the Turbo whistling like it usually does, Is there such a fault where the turbo spins somedays and not on others? It feels like a stupid question and I feel I know the answer but it does feel like a 1.8 injection. I want my spinny whistley noise thing back!!

you feel stupid !? how stupid did i feel when a lad at work showed me that without the ECON on the aircon does actually go very cold !!! there's me in traffic on the way home last night sweating my cobs off.....

cant say mines been too badly effected by the hot weather we've had over the last few days but heat soak is a big killer for turbo'd cars.

Wait till it cools off tonight and go for another spin round the block, if its not whistling fun then you have a problem i'd say...

ECON = air conditioning OFF! :eek:

and theres me thinking ECON just toned things down alittle to reduce power usage

anyway, i shall be driving home with the windows up and a chill in the air tonight !

ECON on all the way, then open window and drive faster, you use the same amount for fuel but it's more fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get this problem quite alot at the moment and find that when accelerating you cant hear the turbo spool up and the car lacks power but i usually find that if you turn the ignition off and then back on and then try accelerating the whistle can be heard again and the cars power returns,this may only be the senario with mine but if it does it to you again then give it a try

Used the same principal as smithy today coming back from Gainsborough - only problem is it realy brought home the fact I need better suspension to properly change the colour of my underpants
