a Bolt is missing from the bar in the attached photo, any idea what it is and should i worry about it?

bar goes between the engine and the gearbox just behind the selector mechanism (i think)

first time i have posted an image so if it dosen't work sorry

Can't see the pic I'm afraid, but if it's in the engine bay, chances are the answer will be 'Yes'... :thumbdwn:

Either click the little 'insert picture' button insertimage.gif and enter the URL in the box, or type [.img.]http://yourpic[./img.] (but without the fullstops!)

HTH

I don't actually know what the bit is from that pic, but it looks like a brace of some sort, so while it's probably holding itself in by the weight of whatever it's bracing, you don't want it shifting under load... :( I'd be inclined to try and find a suitable bolt from somewhere and whack it in until you can get it looked at properly.

That looks to be the passenger side as you can see the passenger side driveshaft and the pipe to the clutch slave cylider. I'd recommend getting a replacement asap and fitting it just to be on the safe side.

Not the end of the world, just a metric 13mm headed bolt goes in there. M8x30 id say.

Maybe just my eyes but it looks like its sheared off?

That's Ross's job! It's only geeky if it's something you do for fun (well, like me on Briskie tech fora then! ;) )!
