Parrot CK3100 wiring

Featured Replies

I have aquired a Parrot CK3100 from a company vehicle that is due to go back to be sold this week. I've been given two parts - a black part with a cable and a blue box with two cables.

The cable from the black bit clearly connects to the blue box, the black part being the bit that sits in the car.

So how do I go about wiring the thing up to my car which, is fitted with a Sony head unit? I know the head unit hass a connectoin for telephone ATT/mute.

The "spare" cable from the parrot blue box looks like a female 3.5mm "headphone" style connector.

Am I missing any parts? I was sort of expecting a speaker and/or microphone.

black part is the screen so you wire the that and the microphone (which you appear to be missing) into the blue box. The Mic goes into the 3.5mm jack.

The Parrot you wire into the radio harness by plugging the iso from the radio into the parrot and the parrot into the car. There should be a large bundle of cables with 4 iso plugs on it, which is effectivly piggy backing the leads and muting as needed.

You need to move the "mute" wire to the correct one of 3 (on the 3200) positions such that it mutes the radio.

Seems I'm missing the large bundle of cables too :thumbdwn:

E bay may have what you need or have another rummage in the said motor if you can.

I'm probably stating the obvious really

Was just going to link to that very piggy back loom!

They are a doddle to install Phil, you should be fine. I *think* any 3.5mm jack microphone will work - I don't know what car you drive, but there may even be a manufacturer mic that can be installed in an OEM location to work with the Parrot! :)

Have a rumage through the car as I'd bet the leads are still behind the radio and the mic probably still hidden up there.
