Good afternoon all,

I want to replace the scruffy light grey carpet in my Octy VRS with a black carpet.

The Skoda dealer can offer me an anthracite carpet for £120 or a black carpet for £220. (all plus VAT)

The black is, apparently, a unique Laurin and Klement fitment.

Do L&Ks have better quality carpets than lesser models?

How black is a Anthracite carpet?

The non L&K carpet (so I assume Elegance, Comfort spec etc) is very nearly black.. in fact, I'm fairly sure it is black..

What I'm saying is, the carpet in my Elegance spec 4x4 is for all intents and purposes a black carpet. So yes, anthracite is indistinguishable from black. IMO.

As for quality, I couldn't say if the L&K is a better shag or not, but at the end ofthe day is anyone really go to pay any attention to the depth / quality of the carpet in a car (that isn't a Roller or Maybach)?
