Fabia VRS gone, Octavia ownership here we go!.....

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

Sold the 2007 Fabia Vrs recently as my wife and i were wanting to stop the large outlay of £ every month from the 0% deal that we were on and take the equity from the car and still have a decent car but not be paying for it.

The reason? - baby on the way. At age 28, gone are the days when i could spend a day polishing and preening, spending a fortune of 'senseless' tuning bits and going for a drive for the hell of it.

Sensible trousers on.....................(and we wanted to stay with the brand:))

So, we bought a 2001 Y Octavia 2.0 Elegance Estate (we've got a big dog too!)

80,000 miles

I think all things considered i did well - i should have as i spent long enough looking!:)

Im thinking already though, that when she's not looking, the octy spiders will be going on along with a lowering kit, vrs estate spoiler and splitter:D

Anyway, a big clearout is away to happen shortly of all my other toys so that we can do more dreaded DIY round the house before baby comes -

These are gonna be up for sale asap -

Phoned the garage im getting it from today and its ready so im quite excited. They said before when i was in negotiations to buy it, that they'd give it a very good going over before i got it collected as it was going so far - leeds to Aberdeen. So it got a new alternator, new front springs and new rear discs and pads so should all be cool now.

Sounded very much like they lost money on that deal by his voice but very pleasant folk to deal with - i'll soon tell you if thats the case once i see it other than in photos!
