Variable Service Code

Featured Replies

I know its on the forum some where, but i cant find it with search

can any one tell me the code in my service schedule that says if the car is on variable or fixed servicing, its my octy II vRS

Cheers,

Dan

QG1 is the manufacturing code for variable servicing. Look for it on the big sticker in the book or under the boot carpet near the spare wheel well IIRC.

With the ignition on without the engine running, press and hold the trip reset kn0b on the dash to show the remaining miles to the next service.

i've done that, this is what worries me, it tells me the car wants servicing now but maxidot has never given me any warning to tell me it wants servicing or 50 miles till next service etc, hence why im wondering if its fixed or variable and if its fixed, do you get the warning? its done just over 10k

having put all my codes in the options decoder i got this

QG1 = Service interval prolongation

so i think its safe to assume its on variable, in which case why hasnt the car warned me about its service?
