whats it worth?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I've had my beloved green felly 1.3 mpi lxi (estate) for four years and shes been totally brill, ive just used it as a work horse to carry tools and people.

saw a T plate magic model (1.3 too) going for cheap and in good nik too so i nabbed it (thought itd be nice to upgrade abit). not sure what to do with the old one now - do i break the engine for spares or sell it for cheap.

its got tax till april and mot till august. The bodywork isn't great it has a dent on the drivers door and a dent on the passenger wing and rusty arches.

apart from that she runs like shes om rails. new back box, four good tyres and the rad, water pump and alternator are two years old. I've manually overridden the fan though as it would kick in abit too late for comfort.

all in all its running very well. got 112000 on the clock and I always gave it an oil change around every 60000 miles as i used it everyday going all around the m25.

Any ideas on what i should do with it? is it worth any money in its state body work wise? :wonder:

Guess its only a couple of hundred, maybe 3 at most. Nowadays a "running" old car is barely worth more than the scrap value to weigh it in at the local metal recycling yard.

I take it, that's a typo and should be 6,000?
