seat Leon Copra 1.6 tdi

Featured Replies

Got one on Of these on hire and have done 800 miles so so, must say I am impress. Fantastic drive train, which I presume is common to the VAG group. This car as averaged 55 mpg - close on double the 1.4 pot powered Astra that I had to thrash within an inch of its life last week!

I normally can only drive about 2 - 2.5 hrs t a streach without getting cramp/sore. I did a 5.5hr straight shift in the Leon today.

Comfortable, economical, rides and handles well.

Downsides - boot to small for my needs, radio/sat navscreen set too low - would have been better if it had been above the heater controls. Also not a fan of the cruise control controls on the stalk. Prefer these to be steering wheel mounted, presume this is common in all VAG's

Edit - this is a "cope" not the sporty cupra

Copa. ;-) Out of interest, what revs does it do at 70mph? Is it a five or six speed box? :-)

5 speed box. Can't comment exactly on the rev's at 70 until I am back in the car (its off-hire until the end of next week) but must be around 2000.

As an example of how quiet it is I travelled about 20 miles up the M74 earlier this week before realising I was in 4th!!! Had then the realisation was only because I glance down to pick a sweety out of theconso;le and noticed the position of the gear stick!

70mph = 2120 rpm
