Service interval

Featured Replies

Just used the VW Group Options Decoder and had a little surprise

QI6 = Service indicator 30,000 km or 2 year ( variable )

I just kind of assumed that the service interval would be 10,000 miles so didn't even bother to ask the guy at Lookers (he probably would've immediately assumed the same as well).

Will be interesting to see just when exactly my car starts demanding an oil change and how close to that option code it is :)

Mine is 10k or one year. Fixed service uses free servicing better ;)

Mine is on variable too, but I think I'm entitled to a service once a year anyway on the finance deal?

Yeah but you need to remember to take it in once a year. If the car is set to variable your unlikely to get all three services if you wait for the car to prompt you to take it in.

Have you not had the paperwork through from skoda finance yet as mine showed it as fixed/3 years/30000 miles even though my car is (still) set on variable (the default factory setting if you've got the 'right' engine). As silver said you'll need to ring up.....Someone else previously missed the first service and had problems when his car flagged up on variable as the finance lot didn't want to pay as he'd missed the boat so to speak. Think he got it sorted but best avoided if you're 'on the plan'
