Parrot 3200 LS Colour mic not working?

Featured Replies

The previous owner of my car had a Parrot 3200 LS Colour bluetooth hands free kit fitted. The unit is mounted to the right hand side of the driver and the mic is located above by the front courtesy light.

I have paired my phone and can use the hands free to dial out, I can hear the person I am calling but they can't hear me. This would suggest issues with the mic.

I have googled this issue and some sites say the software needs upgrading and others suggest it is a crushed mic cable?

I have updated to the latest software but still having the same issues.

Does anyone know anyone local to the West Midlands area who would be able to diagnose such an issue and repair accordingly?

I am loathe to spend to much money though as I have never had a hands free kit before. If it were to cost too much, I would probably opt to remove the kit and sell it on the bay for spares / repairs rather than repair.

Thanks in advance.

I have contacted a company based in Redditch, Worcs who fit and service Parrot hands free kits. A service call costs £40 plus vat and they will repair a crushed mic cable within that price if that is the diagnosis.

£44 all in, does this seem like a fair price?
