fabia 1.4 tdi estate 80bhp 2007

If nobody can help with the pin connection information, you can always download it from ERWIN at a price.

Do you have a 6Q0 or 6Q1 central electrics ECU?

AHHH, NO,,after long wait for the VAG cable to come and only to find out I have a 6Q2 ECU...

Can i just buy a 6q1 ECU and replace the 6q2 or there is more need to be done?

Yes you can buy a 6Q1 or 6Q0, might find one second hand, they are about £300 new. Will need to be coded with the same code as the original.

many thanks Tech1e. i checked on ebay its about 25 for a second hand, but how much will the coding be? can it be done by vcds?

  • Author

got my answer. it can and needed to be coded by vcds. off to ebay to get a 6q1. its now back to the oringal question: how do i wire it?

You need the XS3 plug for the control unit and the terminals, the 10 pin plug and terminals for the stalk end. Personally i'd sell the stalk on and buy a complete kit from Skoda. They don't have the pin to pin wiring instructions in them, and I no longer have access to ETKA to look at the CFD :(
