  1. Thanks for you help with this, I've collected my 2025 Sportline today 😄 (Rubbish photo as its raining!)
  2. Thanks Colin, I really appreciate the help. This has been first foray into dealerships for a long time after years of company cars, so the lackadaisical attitude of some of the 'Sales Executives' came as a bit of a shock. At least the internet can help me find and research a car anywhere in the country without leaving the house 😁
  3. So ACC is standard but PCC is an option that can be added later? I couldn't get any form of CC to work on my test drive, but it sounds like it may have been user error - thank you! The DCC sounds interesting, I had considered a Sportline, but felt that the SE L offered more useful options day to day. I'll see if I can find one with DCC, but it sounds like it might have been a rare choice. I see some are advertised with 'Drive Mode selection' or 'Driving Dynamics System' - are they the same thing?
  4. Hi all, Following my intital post here - Any Kodiaq options to avoid (or look for)? - Skoda Kodiaq MK1 (2017-2023) - BRISKODA I have adjusted the requirements (and budget) and now seem to be looking at the newest models. I've driven a TDi 150 SE, but would like a TDi 190 4x4 SE L. The one I drove was advertised with cruise control, but it wouldn't engage - the dash said it needed a subscription. What's that about? Are there any other random complexities or gotchas with these cars? There seem to be quite a few of my preferred model on Autotrader, several with EU74BVx registrations, which I assume were part of the same fleet at some point. Does anyone here have any info on that?
  5. Hi all, we are considering a return to Skoda having moved away in 2019 with the need for a third child seat across the back. Two of the kids are out of child seats now and both our cars (i30 estate & S-Max) are showing their age. I've liked the look of the Kodiaq since its launch, but couldn't justify getting one until now. There will be other vehicles on the potential lists, but my initial research suggests that I won't get the boot space, capability and economy combination at this price point with other manufacturers. I'm after a diesel 4x4 and wifey would like a plug in hybrid - I know that option came in the later version, so I'll mainly focus on mine here. I am currently looking at 2021 to 2023 models. I understand that the 4x4 with a manual gearbox was discontinued as an option in 2018, which is a shame, but I'm not completely opposed to going auto. My main question is - are there any particular options or combinations to avoid or seek out? I'm particularly thinking anything along the lines of the Ford Powershi(f)t gearbox issues where there might be common (expensive) failures, but can't-live-without options and other insights are also welcome. What is general reliability like? Are there any simple mods or accessories that you recommend (roof bars will be a given at £30 for a new foot pack for mine)? Was a spare wheel an option across the range or was it standard on some models? The main trim levels seem to be SE, SE L, and L&K, but I have also seen SE Drive and Executive - where do they sit in the range? Which is the highest spec without leather seats? Thanks in advance, Sam Pic of our most recent Octavia for attention (taken in Cornwall, 2017)
  6. Hi all, im posting here because you're all really helpful and the Ford forum i tried was as much use as a chocolate fire guard. I have a 2016 S-Max with the 2.0 TDCI 180 PS engine. It needs an oil top up, but I only have the oil for the old Octavia (2013 CR 140). Handbook and oil photos attached, is the 5W-30 that dissimilar to the 0W-30 recommended? Could I use it for a top up before the service that's due soon? Thanks, Sam
