I've had my Karoq for 2 months now and have done about 1700 miles in it already, due to a few trips within mainland Europe. With a baby seat behind me, I kept feeling like I had to recline the seat more upright constantly, and although it was hard to know if this was really happening, I was convinced because my child's feat didn't reach the back of my seat, then after moving forward i felt him kicking my seat 30 mins later.
After a month or so of this, I took the car to Skoda to investigate the 1st gear kangaroo ( 😞 ) and the seat recline. Turns out the dealer found that i'm not crazy, this is actually a car default happening on the driver AND passenger seats....they validated this by testing all their Karoq's in the showroom and on the forecourt. If you push the seat hard it doesn't move, but over time of sitting in it, it gradually reclines back slowly.
I'm keen to know if anyone else has felt something like this going on as well, and reported to the dealer? My dealer said it's something that no one has reported to them before, and Skoda are highly unlikely to perform a recall or fix unless a certain number of people report the problem. This basically leaves me with an annoying need to move the seat forward every 30 minutes or so!
