The 2.0 L 140/206 kW TSI engines belong to the EA888 engine family. The following are the differences between two different power versions: • Valve travel switching system: - on an 140 kW engine - intake valves; - on an engine of 206 kW - exhaust valves. • On a 140 kW engine, Miller’s duty cycle has been implemented. • Software applications in the engine control unit. • The 206 kW engine is equipped with exhaust gas damper blocks on the rear silencers: left J883 and right J945. In the forced idle mode and at engine speeds from 1000 to 2700 rpm, one or both shutters are closed to reduce noise (hum) in the passenger compartment.
