Picked up my Yeti on Friday and very happy with it it -in love seeing it outside the house. However, I think the handover from the dealer was in my experience the worst I've had buying any car - even privately. After going through the paperwork we walked out to the car. He put the tax disk in and handed me the keys - that was it! I started to ask a few questions but he said that Drive the Deal should have explain all the details about the car - how ridiculous was that. Absolutely appalling behaviour . Kevin who I had dealt with (and seems a really nice guy) was on holiday so Richard was who dealt with me. Luckily I had read the manual but to leave me in the car park with now explanation whatsoever was unbelievable. Good job I knew that I had to press rt he clutch to start the car or I'd still be there. 0/10 for Hayleseden Doncaster's handover performance.

At the moment yes. Got rid of the wife's Micra and the plan was to sell the Scooby. But fixing a misfire cost almost £600 (don't ask) so might keep a bit longer as I've already insured for a year .

Just picked mine up from Dealer. Didn't handover the registration document(v5) - said it's sent in the post . Is this normal practice ?

Mine's ready and am collecting on Friday. Its a train up North to pick up followed by a nice drive back - can't wait! Was a total of 95 days since ordered but a frustrating 31 since the build date - wish Skoda could speed up this part of the process At least I get to enjoy one ride - I'm sure SWMBO will drive it the rest of the time

The worst bit is waiting once built. Mine was built 23 April but has only made it to Grimsby so far. No date yet when it will be delivered to the Dealer. Once at the Dealers it will probably take a week to the collection date so looks like being over 4 weeks since it was built.

Spoke to the Dealer today. Yeti STILL at Emden catching some German sun. It has now been 2 weeks today at Emden waiting for a boat. Was hoping that it would have a good (quick) connection but not the case. Same status as "ready to ship" . Going on holiday for 3 weeks at beginning of June so was hopeful once I knew it was built that it would be ready before then but so sure now.

. Sounds like we are waiting for the same boat !!

So many deliveries happening thick and fast. Mine has been at Emden since 23 April so hoping for a call from the dealer soon. I knew that wait after it had been built would be the worst bit but I hate to be proved right! I can only browse the user manual so many times :-)

So predictable, so sad ... yawn

Well I for one hope that 4 weeks was a one off! Confirmed it was at Emden yesterday. would be great if a boat was waiting for it to arrive - you never know. Found this out by ringing Skoda UK. So far have not received one call from my dealer - the only time we have spoke was when I rang some time ago to asked about as build date. Hope he hasn't lost my number

My build week is Week 17 (from Wk19) Just got a call that its at Emden waiting for a boat. Almost here now! I shouldn't read all the posts as I'm now thinking of ordering some touch up paint when I pick it up from the Dealers after reading about the number of stone chips some have had. Swmbo just has to come up with a name now

Mine is due to be built next week. Here's hoping that it manages to hook up with the transporter and boat and is ready for collection asap. Seems very arbitrary re delivery times so I'm keeping fingers crossed. Having to wait for it to be built is one thing but having to wait over 5 weeks for it to get to the dealer as some have would drive me nuts!!

Well I now have a confirmed Build Week of Week 19 - good to have a date but hoping that when I ring in 3 or 4 weeks time the Dealer will say that Skoda have brought the date forward a few weeks. You can live in hope !!

Ordered my 1.2tsi Elegance on 18 Feb and after seeing the spreadsheet and some recent deliveries within 60 days I was hoping mine would be a similar time (or less). However have noticed that there has only been 1 delivery since Xmas and its now March. Have Skoda had an extended Xmas break or have people just not updated the sheet - preferably the latter!
