What a night :( Cats vs Citigos doesn't end well.... Heres the action... Parked up to allow the missus to put sugar in her coffee and engine turned off (start/stop) Car started up, checked all around and nothing.. no people, cats or cars. Set off and applied full lock ready for the swing and there it was.. A BLACK CAT running in front of my car Swerved to miss it, mounted the high kerb, and rolled to a stop to see what the crunch was.. Well the missus said it was dripping, I looked at it was more than dripping.... approx 4 litres of engine oil gusng out. Also found a plastic guard broken off... So, phone call to assistance to arrange recovery and then the wait... 20 mins later 1 recovery truck and a 35 mile trip back home and car to the dealership awaiting report... No pictures as was slighty niffed off, but im sure you can imgaine the look on my face, the state of the floor and a citigo left hopeless..

Thought it was time to start a thread of Black Betty seeing as though she has been treated to a few goodies in only a short space of time.... Well here goes..... I was looking for something cheap to insure and fun to drive for my first car. I used to walk past my Skoda dealership almost every day and having seen various Citigos I knew I had I wanted one. So a few phone calls later to see if they had any in, I made an appointment. I was shown a white 5dr Elegance, the spec I wanted and the colour. However I was told I couldn't have that one... So whilst sales work out a few cars for me I took a walk around the dealership, I spoted a black one... not the colour I wanted but better than waiting,... so 1 signature on the paper and shes mine..... Just the long wait to get her :( Hometime for Betty and more pictures, well just to show the Tints... Your proberly wondering why she is called Black Betty..... Well.... After picking her up and taking her for a drive, Black Betty came on the radio and the name has stuck... Betty didn't stay standard for long, infact her first mod was MTEC sidelight and DRL bulbs and the BRI sticker. Then followed a stubby mast.... Osram bulbs were also added at a later date... Betty then reached a milestone.... 1000 miles, no problems, even after the bad weather we had in March.... She was then washed, ready to be made slighty different..... SILVER DECALS..... Cheapest bargain off the internet, and to make it even more different I haven't fit the side decals as the kit was a 3dr kit.... Not added anything else yet apart from a spare wheel..... She has just ticked over 10300 miles and she's been no hassle.... First service was done and no problems.... only thing that has been replaced is the release bearing due to being noisey. The PID unit makes journeys nice and easy.... Bluetooth, music, Sat nav and trip computer in 1 device.... Only thing I do dislike is having to put the PID on everytime I want to connect bluetooth but Im living with that. So there you have it..... The story of black betty

I have a black 5dr Elegance and have tinted windows. I was dreading the van look but mine aren't too dark. I think they is some pictures on here somewhere, but when I find a decent picture I put one up. EDIT: Look in my gallery for some photos

Been on here on my mobile and just keep firgetting to sign in :( Plus..... I trying to talk myself out of not getting rid if the citigo yet, although I have seen a nice Fabia :( I wanted my citigo to be a project but ran out of ideas

For sale as hardly used. Wear and tear scratches on back. 1 visble scratch. Looks deep but it's not. Slight scratch on screen but can't be seen when using tablet. Has box and charger. Can email pictures as posted this using mobile and unsure how to attach pictures. £75 posted.

I am thinking 4 door sills as mines a 5dr but possible upper and lower for fronts. I might make just front ones from these as I rarely have rear passengers and its the drivers sill thats getting the abuse all the time... Fingers crossed being fited Saturday

A promised I have Pictures: This came through the post Was quite shocked to see it wasn't Sill length. Then open it to discover this: Which when flat reveals this: Up close.. Not what I was expecting at all, but can't complain as I got them cheaper due to a discount voucher from ebay. Instrctions dont say which sill they fit, so might cut the outline out and test it.. Was rather disappointment to see the size of box. When I opened it I was even more disappointed. Might make another use of the carbon if I don't like them.

Well they have come and they aren't as expected. There are just 4 pieces of carbon vinyl. There sized roughly for the bottom sill which is a shame as I wanted them to cover upper and lower. When I get them out again I'll take a pic, was in a rush before.
