  1. i have had my drivers side wishbone replaced 3 times in last year , due to a cracking/stretching noise , when i pull away , brake or go over a speed bump , the last one had a good bit of play in it , the new one , well its now worse than ever , the handling is fine , its just this noise , driving me crazy , any ideas ?

  2. guys i have a faulty lambda sensor ,fault says 1 bank 1 sensor ,does anyone know if its the two lead one or the 4 lead one ,i know its the one on the downpipe and not on cat ,but cannot get car on ramps to check properly:thumbup:

  3. Yeah that was my first thought, obviously your using too much oil there. The car shouldn't really use any, or just a tiny amount thats barely noticable. Where is it going? If it's not going on the floor, then it's your engine or turbo.

Turbo 'seals' is a bit of a strong word! They're only small piston ring type seals, that rely on the pressure differences between the bearing housing and comp/turbine housings to keep the oil in.

The seals will very very rarely just fail by themselves, so you need to look at associated systems. Is the oil drain from the bearing housing blocked up with old sludgy oil? Has one of the engine breather hoses become blocked?

I'd run a compression test on each of the cylinders before moving to the turbo. If it is the turbo, you can get hold of a reconditioned unit if you hand your old one in, for a reasonable price i'm sure. But if you find a fault with the oil or breather systems, you may be able to rectify it and save the expense of a new turbo.

You say it's a new engine, what's the history?

it was replaced 11 months ago ,oil pump failure,it was a refurbished engine from skoda ,so everything was brand new, it has done 15,000 miles from change ,new clutch fitted 3,000 miles ago ,not that is relevant,it has all the power u would expect its a standard 180 bhp

  4. beware..could be oil pump i drove 175 miles after mine came on ,aa told me was not oil pump as it would just go and was either oil pressure switch or the diode in behind the dash ,which apparently is a common fault , £3,700 later i can guarantee u it was the oil pump,do not drive another mile mate without getting it checked out ,i'm not trying to scare you but please don't take the chance.

  5. Thank god, its only house, and no divorce!! i left him a yr ago, and for 7 months we have been battling it out via solicitors. 3 months ago he was given 28 days too finalise the break and settlement of the house from joint deeds etc to solely in his name.

my ifa and solicitor seem too have differed opionons too if i legall need to advise him or wait for the recievers too, as as i have been told he will loose the house if he should not be able to buy out my half via the bankruptcy rules and regs on this, all the advise i had on going bankrupt came from a company called the cccs (consumer credit councill service) who debt free directed me too when they refused an iva when i first had issues with debts from him, but due too joint ownership they refused help... :( so have only up too now been getting very rough advise...

your opion has helped some wat some again too you thanks.

this is good advice ,hopefully it will get him into gear and stop you from having to make yourself bankrupt ..good luck
