  1. Got an ongoing problem with the turbo, Sticky vanes no doubt, Keeps going in to limp mode (overboost).. Anyway got thinking about the EGR pipe which I've disconnected and the crankcase breather pipe. Surely it cannot be good for all that oily stinking gas going back into the engine. Engine warning light on as EGR disconnected, No big deal come MOT time, Just plug the vacuum pipe back in an reset via VCDS to switch light off.. But what about the crank breather, Is it ok to unplug that and stick a filter on the end ? What's everyone else's view on this feeding thick smelly oily gases back into the engine,,
  2. I think (I may be wrong) it depends if the car is on variable service of fixed. Resetting the service indicator by the trip odometer button will set the car to fixed, If you plan on doing the services yourself just reset the indicator as above. Use the best oil you can and change it regularly. There is a sensor in the sump so it basically knows when the oil is past its best, You don't need VCDS. I use Quantum oil which is supposed to be what Skoda uses and good quality filters from ECP..
  3. No mate, Presets are ok, Just got to put the code in the radio every time i put the fuse back in.
  4. Wouldn't bother with a kill switch, I tried the same, Found the earth wire and put a switch in, Didn't work because when the aerial is plugged in it uses this as its earth and still powers up regardless of the switch..I just pull the fuse for the radio, Its a faff though....
  5. Thanks mate, I've got the radio and SD card reader to use so its no great loss if the CD player dont work.. Just wondered about the error message.
  6. When trying to load a CD into the radio it wont load and just says ''Device error'' , Press CD button select which drive (1 to 6) It doesn't pull the CD in ,Just nothing but the Device Error message on screen... I replaced the Stream head unit with the Bolero, I left the CD changer in the boot connected through the quad lock connector in the back of the Bolero, It powers up and loads CDs but wont play them (the interchanger in the boot)..should i have disconnected it or does it not matter?
