Sounds good you might need to remind me about it at some point right enough!

Absolutely no idea, if you cover the postage that would be fine tbh, or enough to buy a couple of the silicone key covers!
-
The choice seems to be estate low floor, estate raised floor or hatchback! I've emailed them to ask but they're not open until the second...
-
Yeah, looking to get one of the hatchbag thingies so there's three variations for Octavias!

Trying to find a suitable liner for my 2014 vrs but not sure which version would be the right one? The boot is standard as far as I know but don't want to order the wrong thing!
Cheers

Let me get a photo of it to make sure it's the right thing...

I've got one of those with the new car if you want it? Won't be used by me

You mean one of those wee bins for the door pocket??
I'm going to try and get rubber mats, rear seat covers, a boot liner etc!
-
So, whats the best site for picking up a few OEM bits and pieces?
-
I've looked around a fair bit recently, I like the look of it, but it's not really a deal breaker either way - although I've seen a few white ones with black bits/tinted windows etc which do look sharp!
-
Now, those key covers i can get on board with a bit more than the chrome!

Trust me, it's worth the upgrade here. Looks better and feels better. Adds a nice weight to the key, otherwise it feels quite cheap and plasticky.
Agree on chrome elsewhere; I have black pack and glad I don't have chrome round the front grille or anywhere around the windows.
I'm used to a big plastic Volvo key so anything will feel better than that!

Over the big brakes a 6.5 x 17 steel from one of the tyre web sites with a standard 205 tyre is a fairly cheap option. Fits perfectly and most jack kits can be made to fit inside. Then at least you have a ‘proper, tyre.
Just my opinion of course
That sounds good actually, hate driving on the paper plates!

Is that petrol or diesel? If diesel, does it have the larger 340mm brakes or the smaller 312mm brakes (front)? It makes a difference.
The options are
1.Full size vRS alloy (lifts boot floor about 10-15mm depending on the tyre fitted)
2. Standard vRS ’space saver’ steel fitted with a 125 ‘skinny’ tyre
3. Aftermarket or second hand 17” steel or alloy 6.5” wide with a 205 tyre (fits below boot floor) has to be 17” to fit over brakes.
If you have the smaller front brakes you could also use
1. Standard Octavia 16” steel spare which is fitted with a 205 tyre. (Called a space saver but it is a full size wheel fitted to other models)
2. Any suitable 16’ steel or alloy same size as above.
The jack kits are made for the ‘standard’ wheels and sometimes need a bit of shaping to fit anything else. Just shaving polystyrene.
The spare is a bit of a personal preference, some like to keep it standard OEM, some like a 5th full alloy to swap around, some don’t like skinny space savers but don’t like the floor lifted either. Some want the ability to drive distance with no speed restriction on the spare.
Work out what brakes you have and what you want it to do then look at the options. Plenty of discussion on here.
Brilliant, thanks for that detailed reply, it's the petrol engine I've got, best option would obviously be the full alloy but I'd take a space saver as a get me home, the gunk has got to be the worst idea I've seen!
I guess it's for people who have never had a flat...
I'm going to put a full waterproof liner in the boot so no one would notice if it was lifted a bit, but I guess I'll probably go for a space saver if there's a suitable one that fits neatly.
-
Haha! I'm not a chrome person tbh, will be attempting to remove any shiny bits in future!
-
So I've not picked mine up yet but I know it's only got the can of gunk, so first addition is going to be a spare in the boot, is it possible to carry a full size wheel in the recess or will it only take a space saver?
And is there somewhere recommended to buy the jack/brace kit?
It's the vrs estate

Depends on OP's position, but I thought it was worth spending a little more to get a new factory order through a broker with a small cheap loan, rather than used 2-4yrs with no loan. Worked out cheaper than dealer ex-demo!
Petrol estates are in limited supply, think the diesels were far more popular with finance deals, economy etc.
The cheapest I've seen a new Octavia vrs petrol was about 23k so a bit more than a small loan away, would much prefer to put my money into owning something that's already taken a good hit off its value than taking on extra debt for a brand new one only for it to depreciate quicker than the loan!

It depends how you drive it.. I've had upto 45mpg on long runs to the ring etc and 54mpg before the mapping
It'll soon be stage 3 at around 400-420bhp
That's pretty impressive, you must not drive around like a hooligan!

Wow! 19k!
i paid 18k for a brand new facelift 230 that has just been made.
Meteor Grey
Black Pack
Heated seats/Alancantara
Pano roof
Spare wheel
If I was the OP id always buy from a dealer.
Good luck I hope you find a decent example.
Why would you always buy from a dealer?

Would love to do a remap but it'll be more than powerful enough for my better half!
