Not 100% happy but it doesn't make me want to swear every time I walk past it, to get in the car of a morning. Before After

Changed the cabin filter on mine last month. Cover is missing. As it's not really visible without getting down under there, I haven't ordered a new one.

It's been off air for three years, but Tiff has started filming the new season this week. -
I sh**t myself taking out the passenger airbag to change the heater resistor. I'd be shying away from doing this myself too.

I'm told that there is no clutch mechanism on the ac units in these cars. The compressor is always running, so you won't hear a dip in rpm when you push the ac button. I had similar issue last month. A re-gas sorted it out just fine. Well worth the 39 quid it cost. My advice, take it for a re-gas. At the very least if there's something else wrong, they will at least be able to diagnose it for you.

Let us know how you get on. I'm also running Version 4 and yes it does not recognise any new roads. I fear that voice stammer will not be solved with the update, but hopefully you will find your way.

Yes the Diamond cut Gigaros already have some signs of lacquer peel and corrosion, as well as some rim damage due to kerbs etc. I was considering getting the refurbished or doing something different with them.

Courtesy of Jonny5ive, I fitted a set of 17" Kentuar Alloys to my VRS Combi. The plan is to fit winters to them, but there's plenty of rubber left in the tyres that are on them. Opinions? Original Gigaro's or Kentuars?

Is it the bit that covers the cabin filter?
-
Did the resistor myself a few weeks back. The airbag out was putting me off too, but it's not a hard job, a bit fiddley. Airbag didn't explode. As well as uncoupling the battery, I also turned the air bag off with the key switch on the end of the dash, in at the passenger door. Resistor comes out kind of like a light bulb.

I'm going to be trying this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CXMBIZ4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I haven't done a touch up job in decades, so will post some results (before and after) and comments when I get around to it.
