  1. Little bit cheaper than Ebay. But I still cant justify paying it! :( http://www.skodaparts.com/product/fabia-cup-holder-2000-2007-36716
  2. Cheers for the replies. SMC got me this far before. I just don't like how heavy it has become, nor do I want to try and create a perfect channel haha. My fibre glass guy advised not to use fibre glass, primarily for the same reasons that have been said. They won't truly join so risk cracking.
  3. Hi, I am currently trying to smooth my Fabia VRS' front bumper but lack the skill set required it would seem. I feel plastic welding is the best way to go, I've had a go with resins and SMC but once they meet the plastic and get smoothed, hairline cracks appear. For the most part the plastic welding doesn't concern me - it's the 'how to fabricate the plastic that goes in the gap'. It is at two levels but with a channel between them both. Any help or tips in this regard would be great. Or even if someone isn't prepared to give away their secrets but will consider the work, that'd be great too. ( I live in Nottingham) Thanks
  4. Currently stripping a Skoda fabia mk1 estate for a project. Have no need for the engine and the 5speed gear box. I have driven the car back from birmingham to nottingham, it ran and sounded spot on. Starts quickly, and it has a good clutch. It has ran over 100k, I haven't got any history however. If you are willing to collect and provide a reasonable offer, and should you need any ancillaries please PM me , thanks.
  5. I am selling my Skoda Fabia Estate mk1 parcel shelf. It is in excellent condition and works fine. If you have any questions please ask.
  6. I am selling my Skoda Fabia VRS mk1 ASZ EGR cooler with connecting pipe. If you have any questions please ask.
  7. I am selling a full interior for a Skoda Fabia mk1 2000-2007. This has been removed from a 2003 Fabia Estate, it is all in good condition, however the rear door cards have some marks from damp ingress due to rear door card leak. It has benefitted from a quick clean, so I’m sure will come up excellent with a little bit more. It comes with all the winders and levers etc. Any further questions please ask. I am open to offers. I would prefer collection, but can arrange postage if necessary.
  8. I am selling my Skoda Fabia VRS mk1 seats. They are in pretty good condition but could benefit from a clean up in places. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am open to offers, and would prefer collection, but I am willing to arrange delivery.
  9. Hi, I thought I'd share my findings after reading all the fear mongering on the forum. It appears to be a common misconception that no towing limits in a V5 means no towing. This is wrong, it simply means the manufacturer hasn't shared that information with the DVLA. After phone calls with both the DVLA and Skoda I have identified it is legal to fit a tow bar to the VRS and tow up to 800kg (http://www.uktow.com/towing%20capacity.asp). Skoda say they will not fit it themselves as the rear bumper needs adapting to fit the tow bar, but If you are happy to cut the bumper to fit one yourself, there are no reasons you cannot tow (provided you meet all the appropriate trailer laws: lights, buzzers, weights etc.) Hope this helps, and saves others the hassle of ringing round.
  10. Your PM cant receive messages atm apparently. Is the Flywheel etc, still for sale?? Thanks
  11. Cheers, it's a 2 month old battery and it starts without effort every time so not worried about that. I did find the negative slightly lose, but still very much attached. It may have been the issue as it hasn't repeated since. But I couldn't repeat the issue before either......sooo, fingers crossed
  12. Hi. Not really sure where to start with this issue. I'm hoping its a one off but I'm worried it's not so I'd like to see if anyone else has had similar. My car and key have been working fine and fault free for remote locking until a couple of days ago when it failed to unlock my car. I naturally opened it manually and noticed nothing else out of the ordinary. Since then I have had no issues. Until this evening. I came to unlock the car and once again the key didn't remote unlock it (the red LED still flashed on the key). So again I opened it manually. I then put the key in the ignition and turned it and got no lights. So I shut the drivers door - and got lights. This made little sense at the time but I was just satisfied it worked. Once the car was running however I noticed the Radio had reset. This to me implied the battery had essentially disconnected/died for a time and then once I got in and did the above, all worked fine. Any ideas what might have caused this temporary death, or even a wise place to start? Thanks Also after arriving home, the key worked by remote and I also tried to recreate the lack of ignition with another manual unlock. It worked as I would have originally expected, so left me more unsure what may have happened before. Hence the post...
