I'm helping my son out who's got a 2013 Citigo Sport. We have removed the OEM stereo fitted an aftermarket facia and a Sony Head unit. We have connected the permanent Live (Yellow Wire) and ground (black wire) using a harness adapter kit to the original connector to save splicing cables. The switched 12V wire (red) we have routed to the fuse box under the steering wheel and used a crimp on Piggy back fuse holder to connect to Fuse 31. This was a Red 10amp fuse and according to a youtube video a switched 12v supply. However when we put both 10amp fuses in the piggy back holder and connected it to the socket the radio powered on even though the ignition wasn't turned. It doesn't turn on and off with the ignition so assume 31 is a permanent 12v supply. We don't have a multimeter to check which are switched with the ignition and only have the piggyback for the micro blade fuses not the larger ones. Could someone point us in the right direction of the switched 12v supply preferably 10amp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHgPWzki6Bw&t=661s (Video we used which shows piggy back fitted to 4th fuse along from right middle row ( which according to diagram is 31) This on ours isn't switched live but constantly powering the stereo. Cheers!!!

Kodiaq fuel, oil usage and remap

Just trying to gauge what peoples experiences are with their Kodiaq's. So for a bit of Context I have had loads of cars at least 7 Skoda's and had some that never use any oil from one service to the next, Some that use about a litre every 5k but our new Kodiaq 150 4x4 DSG 5seat seams very thirsty on both oil and fuel. Its 5months old and has only done 3700miles and the oil light has just come on. After checking the dip stick there was nothing in it and had to put about 1.5litre in it to get it to max level. The fuel economy is about 36mpg on average doing mixture of 8 -10 mile journeys about 70% of the time and then longer runs of about 50miles less frequently. Lastly does anyone have any opinions on where to get the engine remapped. I have had engines remapped previously by Shark Performance on my VRS etc but they have closed down so who are the best these days?

I can’t believe I’m the only one who thinks this is Lunacy 😂. Im not against the concept of grouping options I just can’t fathom why gear selection paddles are winter related. also no one has definitively confirmed that the paddles are omitted when the winter pack is specced on a vehicle with a manual box. It’s conjecture as far as I can tell. The dealers aren't even sure when I asked them. another example of this weird grouping craziness is that you can spec roller blinds or get the whole family pack which includes them for cheaper!

Well that’s academic then, my point is you can buy an SE 150 manual and buy the winter pack. The winter pack small print states that it comes with heated steering with paddles. Unless someone knows different? Just trying to clear up the ambiguity. To clarify I want the dsg with the paddle shift but don’t want the winter pack. It seams insane to me that the paddles are anything remotely to do with winter and therefore can’t comprehend why they would be bundled with this options pack.
