Really sorry to hear about the problems you are having with the dealer. I had the same problem with my drivers seat, I didn't bother reporting it until I took it in for the 1st service, they ordered some parts in advance but unfortunately not the correct parts, they then ordered, I think a new seat base, there was no quibble they just accepted what I had told them. I have worked in the trade all my life and always work on the basis if a customer complains about something they are not happy with, their must be a fault. It is a known fault and a very frustrating one. Try Skoda customer services. Ps when I took the car back the job was completed in a day. Have you got another dealer near you?
Hi Clap0005, Have you had any further problems with your seat since the new base was fitted?
Regards

do you have 2 remote fobs ?
If so lock it with the remote you DON'T normally use and see what happens................As I menetioned could be a sticky button on the fob itself ??
The other key is not a remote fob, just a basic key.

Just looked at a Ford -based forum and they get this issue quite a lot. Mostly, it seems to be due to water ingress on their cars and drying out the connecters, WD40, etc and/or filling the connectors with grease suitable for electrical plugs helps... (Not on the pop though, as mentioned earlier). If too far gone, a new pop is needed.
So, check the electrical contacts that feed the boot unit, check the wires at the tailgate hinge for damage, too. Look for any worn/damaged wires and any sign of corrosion. After that, its just elimination!
Thanks for your comments, I have never oiled the lock, and the boot is only opened by the remote key fob. I have checked for water ingress and can see no signs of this. The boot release handle appears to work fine.

could this not be a sticky "Push" switch..... ?? on either the boot itself OR the remote fob....
Thanks for the comment. I have checked the boot release handle and that is fine, the lock works well. Its just when you lock the car with the remote, after about 10 secs the book lock unlock its self.

I have had this problem on our last 2 Mk2 Fabia's.
Our 2014 SE, unlocks the boot after about 10 sec's and sets the alarm off, which I have had to disarm.
I have checked all the wiring, can see no problems, removed and cleaned all the connection points, no signs of any water getting in which now is s common problem.
Can anyone suggest anything please?

I have noticed that both of the front fog/DRL’s are badly misted up on the inside. The nearside one is so bad that the water is building up in the lens.
I have been unable to find any other comments about this, is the common and does anyone know how to stop this happening??

With ours you could feel it trying to pull to the left all the time and if you let go of the wheel it was quite severe. (This was on a quiet road, just to see how bad it was, before anyone comments on letting go of the steering wheel)
-
It may be worth asking them to check out the wheel alignment.
Did you buy the car from a Skoda dealer? if so this should have been checked before purchase!!
-
Agree with Nogster, take it to your local Skoda dealer.
Do not be fobbed off with “they all do that” this is a known problem and also get Skoda UK involved, they also know that this is a problem affecting VRS & Monte's.
Best of luck.

It should not have come to this, but you have done the right thing.
Best of look with the Yeti. :sun:

I would try contacting Auto Express as well as they know about this problem.
-
This is what I am planning on doing, I just keep putting it off and giving the dealer one last chance...
If you have given them 3 or more chances to fix the problem without success and SUK have been involved, then its time to see if others can help you.
Good luck

There is definitely more to it that changing tyres.
Mines had the tyres changed at it did make it a little better but after half a dozen 4-wheel alignments (including an independant one I did) it still pulls left.
I am now being ignored by my dealer on Skoda UK as it's becoming too difficult for them to sort.
If you are having problems with your dealer & SUK, try taking it up with Auto Express, they have already help on Monte owner with the pulling to the left issue.

Also have a look at:-

The issue has been covered by Auto Express.

Hi Monkey182, what make of tyres have they fitted??
-
yes im pretty sure its the same tyres, like my wife who drives the car (i prefer 1 wheel drive) she thinks it just normal  but as ive said ive never driven a new car that pulls to the left, go to the dealer and get the ball rolling
Thanks for the reply.
I do not drive that car that often, put I put it down to having light steering & that I only drive the car on ruff roads.

I have just picked up this thread.
My wife’s Monte was new in August and has now covered 1200 miles.
I have noticed that it pulls to the left.
I have seen the comments about “Dunlop Unidirectional Sport Maxx tyres”
Our car is shod with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres, but they have a directional arrow on the side wall. Is this that same tyre?? (It is pointing the right way)

Also: The wife reckons the new Skoda badges make it look like a Vauxhall. I can see what she's saying, but I do think I prefer the new look...
Nice looking car by the way. Interesting comment about the new badge looking like a Vauxhall, a number of people have asked my wife if she is please with her Vauxhall. As my wife changed from a Vauxhall she takes great delight in telling them it’s a SKODA.

Just got back from the above show after a 3hr round trip.
I should have noticed the warning signs, or the lack of them. Not a single sign post for the show anywhere on route.
Not a lot to see, only one trade stand, so if you need car polish it’s a must.
People I spoke to told me that Sunday would be a better day, but is was difficult to fill the 20 min’s before we left. After Edition 38 and Inters it was a bit of a let down.

Hi, most of all enjoy it, we have had our tech for 6 weeks and love it.
Side protection strips are worth investing in and break up the side of the car.
-
Ours is 5 weeks old and has new badges all over.
-
Try slamming the bonnet - on the Mk1 there used to be issues with the bonnet sensor triggering the alarm.
Thanks, I will give it a try tonight.
-
Hi PDIBK, thanks for the reply.
I have tried pressing the button in the driver’s door, but the alarm still went off.
The duck tape over the sensors has worked. My wife took the car to the dealers today and they are going to replace all the sensors.
