Heater windcreen - how do I tell if it is an original screen
Thankfully having tried it in this snowy and icy weather it would appear it is heated despite it being a replacement at some point in its life.

Heater windcreen - how do I tell if it is an original screen
I'm hoping you're right... I only picked the car up Saturday and it's barely fogged up what so ever so far. I'm hoping for a frost tomorrow morning as I need to move quickly to get this sorted with the car dealer if it in fact doesn't have it. Out of interest, how do you know about the AS1 code? I can see all. The other windows on that car are of another brand and have the skoda emblem on, where as the windscreen doesn't.

Heater windcreen - how do I tell if it is an original screen
I'm having the same issue on a 2022 Kodiaq sportline I have just bought. One of the main things I wanted was heated screen. And the button lights up on activates on infortainment etc, but I cant tell if it is actually doing anything. This is my label, so I'm guessing this is a replacement non heated. Nothing has come up on mu OBD reader for it. I wonder where I stand with the car sales garage (non main dealer) regarding this as it was something the car should have come with, but I'm not sure if they specifically mentioned it on the advert and they have deleted it now.

Is mine the only VRS with Pictorius alloys ?
I did like them on mine, they were a pain to keep clean though, whereas my Geminis now don't really look bad when they're dirty. However my current octavia is white, which unlike my blue one, looks dirty easily!

If you could recommend what OBDII you use, i take it its a bluetooth one with the app? I think its about time I invested in one! Something like this maybe? eurocarparts OBD Also, which app are you using? The one from Ebay is on its way to me now, but it's free returns with Paypal anyway so its no biggie if i need to get a different one. Thanks, Mike.

Automatic Light Fault
I shall have a look... Whats the best way to tell? Can I see off the original component without taking it all out? I'll have to have a look at how my mirror assembly comes apart. Thanks for the help! I've ordered an A, and guessing mine is probably an A anyway as its a 2013 car.

Hi, by any chance, did it have a part number / description of the part on the invoice for this? Looks like I've got the same problem 😞

Engine Temperature Sensor?
On the way to work this morning my engine management light came on. I checked the display for any error messages, but nothing there. Then I noticed the Engine temperature needle hadn't raised at all, and flicking through the display, the oil temperature was still at -- Arriving at work (short 8 mile journey) I noticed my fans seemed to be going very noisily at full blast. This is a 2013 Octavia vRS TSI (Petrol) Has anyone else had the same, or any ideas? Thanks.
