Veracity

This was replaced before Christmas and since then an Orange Head Light warning light occurs occasionally on the information panel. Sometimes the message 'Check front daytime running light' comes on briefly then disappears. All the front light seem to be working OK even when the orange warning light appears. I understand if I take the car in for an MOT and the warning light appears, it could lead to a failure. Appreciate any thoughts/advice please.

Looks like I may have to replace mine. Any ideas of the likely parts and labour charge please and anything else I need to be aware of eg is it a difficult and time consuming job and any other parts that may need replacing at the same time? Many thanks.

I have only noticed it in the past month and it can only be described as quite moderate creaking sound that is really only noticeable when undertaking a slow procedure such as parking. Definitely not a cracking sound. I experienced such a sound when one of the car's tie rods was damaged by a pothole.

I have a 2013 L & K Auto 4x4 Estate which continues to be a decent drive. However, recently I have noticed a fairly low volume creaking sound when turning the steering wheel, primarily when parking.. It is really only noticeable when the radio is off. My garage initially thought it may be a CV problem but that seems to have been ruled out They then thought it could be caused by a front suspension mount which was replaced but this didnt stop the creaking. They are at a bit of a loss to determine what causes the noise. Would appreciate any thoughts which I can pass onto the garage.

I seem to have mislaid the key to my Superb Estate . Any suggestions on best place to get the key replaced? I guess there is quite a cost?

The Sat Nav in my 2013 model probably needs an upgrade to reflect changes in road lay outs etc Is this possible? If so, presume it is a Main Dealer job?

As a consequence of the new front springs, it seems my dipped headlamp beams have possibly altered as a consequence> I have been flashed 3-4 times by oncoming cars since the springs were renewed so I assume the dipped beams are set too high. Appreciate any thoughts please

Has anyone experienced problems with front springs. I have had just one break on me and have had it replaced. The garage told me that they have to replace them quite regularly on all models. Wonder if it is worthwhile having the other spring replaced too. Just grateful that the spring went whilst I was at home and not on a journey.

Since returning from having my car serviced (Superb L&K Combi), the average fuel consumption seems to be stuck on 26mpg and there is an icon on a letter O which a line through it SW/NW which presumably means there is a problem. I cant find any details on this within the handbook and it appears the problem does not affect the 'Real Time' MPG detail. Appreciate any guidance please. btw I appreciate it has been discussed before but, if anyone is interested, my average real time fuel consumption is about 13% lower than recorded on the trip computer, However for a big car the overall real time average for the car is consistently 40mpg despite the fact I dont go on so many long hauls as I did when first getting the car.

However my front tyres, in particular, seem to wear on the outside although I have the tracking adjusted regularly. My garage suggests upping the PSI to 38. Any thoughts please?

Interesting suggestion re Powder Coating. Isnt that a fairly expensive process?

I have had my Diamond Cut wheels replaced once already under warranty and they are beginning to again show wear around the centre boss. Any thoughts on a suitable non Diamond Cut cost effective 18" replacements which look the part? Presume I will have to advise my insurance company. The wheels and tyre on my Superb L & K have been the main bug bear on the car which is otherwise great.
