6 months in and Scala DSG SEL is still trying to update software, garage says it needs to go in as I have also go so many other problems with the info system. At startup after 3 to 4 mins with the engine running the info screen comes to life (starts up blank nothing working heater reversing camera etc), I then turn off all the 3 crap messages. Turn off Stop-start, Turn Off Lane Control. After all that to its credit the car is without doubt my best driving and comfortable Skoda yet. (3xFabia's 1x Yeti with 3 DSG duff gearboxes, 1xCitigo). The fly in the ointment is my brilliant Skoda garage that I purchased it from has now closed during lock down and moved into a VW dealer who are a load of unhelpful ******* who look at you as if you are a piece of S..t for buying a Skoda. I should add once the the infotainment system is up and running it works perfectly until the next restart apart from the intermittent Software Update message AGHHHHHHH

Luck Dip Scala SEL DSG When I start up the Scala it really is a lucky dip. Sometimes from start up I get a blank screen nothing works heater controls not working nothing I have to reverse out a lot from my home, I can wait up to 5 minutes before the reversing camera will come on same applies to the parking sensors. When the parking sensors do work, they annoyingly stay on for some time while driving I get 2 messages saying software needs updating then another saying it has been updated successfully only the next time I restart the car it happens all over again, I get another message that must be turned off every time I start the car, Data transfer is currently set to "Share my position” The satnav cannot pronounce names in English very well and the post code entry needs fixing Apart from motorways the lane control is a bind I turn it off mostly no cure on OBD2 Carista yet I have to turn off Stop Start every time I get in the car. I have had 4 other Skoda cars that could turn off Stop Start with Carista sorry to say no such luck on the Scala. Scala blank screen.mp4

In the same vain got my Scala in Jan this year for the first 10 weeks i got plagued with a screen asking to update the software, No matter how many time I told it to update it refused to go away. Well at the start to lock down it mysteriously went away. As we are now hopefully starting to climb out of Kovid lock down the blinking software update screen is back. Is this a coincidence or is something scary lurking in the background to force me into a Skoda dealers. Seriously if you know of a cure please advise.

Hi New Scala SEL DSG in Jan this year the car is the my best driving Skoda yet but the infotainment system leaves a lot to be desired A few little niggles, every time I use the car after 2 or 3 minutes it comes up with Software update needed. I have done the software update many times and it comes back saying completed I turn off the ignition and restart the car the reminder appears again. Any idea how to stop this Thanks in anticipation Niggles The sat nave cannot pronounce names in English very well and the post code entry needs fixing (see other posts). I like to see the clock on the screen, its a 50 / 50 chance the clock will come up on screen or it will be blank Heater fan speed control is a bind when driving alone it takes your concentration away having to look and fiddle with the screen to adjust

Hi Keep getting this message every time I start up the car Data transfer is currently set to "Share my position" You can find out what this setting entails and how to change it in the control center. I have looked high and low through all the menu's but fail to find how to disable it.

Hi had my new Scala a week now. There is no 12v socket in the boot space just a blank where it should be. On the Skoda UK spec sheet it lists it as standard on SE and SEL models Further down the list it is saying it is an extra what is correct? Would members please advise if your car has a socket please before I tackle the dealer

Picking up my new Scala this Saturday, the first job next week will be fitting my Dash Cam from my old Fabia Estate. My question is what fuse would you use or piggyback off to get a Dash Cam that turns on with the ignition. I managed to get a you tube screen grab listing all the fuses. Scala Fuse Box.pdf
