  1. Hi , I'm having exactly the same problem both boot lights are not working . New boot lock in place still no lights .

I have power there 11.5 volts when the boot is shut but open the boot and no power to the light holders I'm baffled and annoyed I've paid £40 for a pointless new boot lock can't understand the wiring have checked all connectors and can't see any corroded ones !

    HELP HELP HELP

I'm going to put a seperate sensor light in there it's cheaper a Duracell under cabinet light is about £20 a pair on Amazon

  2. I have recently purchased a limited edition diesel vrs 09 and the dealer replaced one rear tyre before i picked it up as it had worn on the inner edge. I was surprised as the majority of the tyre looked like it had 50% left. I have now matched the tyre with another new one and just had the geometry all set up to the new settings found on another website....the left rear camber angle was out a bit on the affected side and it made the normal wheel bearing rumble noise. I hope the new kumhos will be better than the dunlops....

  3. Has anyone purchased these genuine skoda parts and wondered how on earth they fit onto the new shape fabia vrs ...they look the wrong shape...the instructions are almost useless...and you cannot shut the bonnet when fitted, thats if you get the top clip to fit and stay in place...any help or ideas folks before i go mad... They had supposed to be push-fit

PS i also got some for my 2009 octavia vrs ltd edition...oh why did i bother broke it fitting it ... it says push fit more like hammer fit ...come on skoda these parts are just rubbish and damage your car fitting them . they are not like Nissans that fit and clip on easily

    :wall:

  4. Hello,

I am new to this forum and in the process of buying a used Octavia VRS TDI. I have been looking for some time I thought I had hit the jackpot with 2009 limited edition one with only 22K on the clock. When I test drove it all was well except for a rumbling from the rear drives side. This increased with speed and on corners; sounded like a bearing to me; sales guy was clueless and I said that I wouldn’t do the deal until it was sorted. Anyhow he said they’d get it fixed so we good to go I said I would need to drive it again when it was fixed, still waiting a reply from them! Are bearings an issue on the Octavia, any other Octavia specific things I should look for; I must say the interiors look like they hold out well.

    Thanks
