  1. I have had these over the last few days: Also, I pulled up at some lights and had a dashboard of 1's and 2's, even the weather was playing ball Also noticed how dusty my dashboard is!
  2. Fitted all four mudguards, and some rear wheel spacers to my Octavia looks much better.
  3. Where does it say that? The ad says that it has Full Skoda Service History (FSSH) - as pointed out by Bossfox. The ad also doesn't say anything about outstanding finance either. The car looks great to me and has obviously been well looked after but if don't agree, you don't have to keep making negative comments. All the best with the sale!
  4. Is that 17,500 miles in 9 years? That's pretty good going!
  5. I personally can't say I have noticed it as a problem. But my last car (a Fiesta) had flat glass, so I am used to looking over my shoulder whenever overtaking/pulling out
  6. Having a look at the clear film option. The estate version on eBay as recommended by Banksie says not suitable for the VRS version. I get the the bumpers are different between the VRS and non, but is there much difference to the shape of the boot lip? I suppose at about £10 I could just buy one and find out!
  7. That looks like a good idea too. I will have a look on eBay and see if there is a clear one then. Farsider - did you use the same one as Banksie?
  8. Interesting, thanks for all your replies. It looks to me like the Skoda, Superskoda and Rear guards are all very similar things with not much between them in price either. I think I shall invest in one to protect my paintwork anyway. Matt
  9. Hi all, Something I thought about today was has anyone put any sort of protection on the boot lip of a MK3 VRS? I mean the flat section of the rear bumper at the bottom of the boot lid. It would make a useful loading 'shelf' I guess, but obviously I don't want to damage the paint! I have found this on Super Skoda but wondered what you guys have done: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-Combi-RS-original-Skoda-rear-bumper-protective-panel-GLOSSY-BLACK I guess the other option is some form of clear sticky back plastic but to shape. Thanks, Matt
  10. I am in Shropshire - Market Drayton I got mine on the 29th of April, but I have seen about 3 since I ordered in November.

Any chance you could put up a picture of the damage? Or point out where it is in the pictures? Thanks
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Castrol-Edge-FST-Fully-Synthetic-5W30-Engine-Oil-4-Litre/151268457152?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222006%26algo%3DSIC.FITP%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D22311%26meid%3D6599802278674679416%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D9701%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D290940414961 Or this - a little cheaper than the earlier eBay link :P
  14. Yes, hopefully home time comes quickly Not named the car, I didn't name my other car, but it's interesting you mention someone naming theirs the hulk because when a collegue saw mine they thought it should be called that! I can see the link between them though...
  15. Thanks all for your kind remarks I might be biased but I think the green is a fantastic colour - I haven't seen any others in green yet. Went out for a drive last night but I am now at work which means I can't drive it until home time! :(
  16. Well its taken 5 months (ordered the 23rd November) but my TDI VRS is here I personally think it is fantastic, and have really enjoyed the short time I have had with it so far!! Here it is:
  17. I have to say I am confused by the waiting times for the MK3 VRS'. I ordered mine on the 23rd of November, and was told a delivery date of late February which was fine. However that got delayed until the end of May. But, I am now picking it up on Tuesday having signed the paperwork yesterday! The wait until August does seem crazy!!
  18. Car looks great after the detail! I take it you would recommend Auto Detox then? Matt
  19. Interesting, sounds like I might have to give it go! Thanks all
  20. Yeah me too having seen it. I don't have a pressure washer so I would get the one you could use with a normal hosepipe.
