Hi all would the 1.6 felicia gearbox be better on the 1400 16v conversion. or will the ratios give it poor performance.

Does it take much to convert?

Hi all I done a 1.4 16v conversation on my Felicia many years ago, I have recently just got the car back after selling it. The car has done nothing since I sold it apart from being ragged about a bloody field 😡 Fired it up for the first time this morning, it will not idle, it let it warm up and still no difference, I then left the car all day and came back to it later and tried to start it with no luck. I done all the simple checks and found the plugs were covered in fuel, decided to replace them and it fired no problems. The problem I have is it won’t idle and it is really badly over fuelling, so much so that I don’t even want to take it up the road and do major damage. From what I can remember I fitted at Felicia 1.6 ECU, does anybody have any ideas and has anybody had this problem before or something similar. I was thinking about taking it for a map and set up, but unsure if it’s working doing that with just a 1.6 Felicia ECU. Thanks in advance Kyle.

yes I have been on this website and they do sell HP sporting suspension, but I was wondering if that's what the challenge cars were fitted with. as wanting new rose joints for the bottom of the shocker genuine is possible, but if no-one can help me I will get some spurious ones made up.

Hi all does anyone know what make of suspension was fitted to the felicia cup cars, I have a funny feeling they were HP, I have a set but unsure of what make they are due to haveing a lot of use and corroded??

can you fit a fabia 8v gearbox to the 1400 polo engine?? or even a polo gearbox to the engine?? sorry its a bit off the topic here just interested to find out as the ratios are what let my car down when rallying they are awful!!!

Yeh they want £900 lol Just put a post to see if anyone had a second hand one knocking about, but looks like I will have to bite the bullet and buy it straight from gripped lol
