  1. Hi Just popped out to the garage and this is the one I brought a quicklynks T55 https://www.cardiagtool.co.uk/multilingual-obdii-scanner-t55-free-ship-2878.html But I think this is now an older version and the people I brought it from are now selling this one https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VAGT85.html
  2. Hi, my brake lights were also working, but my guess is, at some point there was a passing issue that logged the fault. Incidentally now I have changed it and cleared the fault my cruise control has come back to life, bonus! My reader came from eBay, 5 or so years ago, maybe more, it does OBD2 and VAG codes, it really has been a help and cost 30-40 quid. I think they're all much the same thing at that price range.
  3. I had just this recently, and after using my little code reader it turned out to be the brake light switch, which cost about £15. I would get a code reader on it to try to narrow down the issue.
  4. Hi everyone. I had an issue with my driver's side window regulator, it was wound down and then fail to wind back up. It goes a couple of inches and makes some graunching noises and then goes back down. I have ordered a new regulator on a new panel, but looking at all the instructions, they all talk about lining up the plastic pins with the hole near the top of the panel, mine will not do that. So does anyone have any hints or insight into getting the regulator out with the glass still in it? 2005 Octavia Elegance hatchback.
  5. Hi Sam the creamy white deposit on your oil filler cap has always been a good indicator of a problem with a head gasket, not sure how it might relate to you code issue though. Did you see this thread about P0106 and checking for air leaks around vacuum servo? And this one has lots of detail, may help pin down issue.
  6. Hi That sounds like a great deal best I could find was £130 from Germany can you let me know where you brought this one from? Ta.
  7. Nothing boring about wiper blades  Just been searching round for a set of wiper blades for my MK2 Octavia 2004, like most people I want a good deal, so after just a few hours and my head exploding only twice I found this UK seller prices look good with P&P at £2.60 These are Lucas Clearvision direct fit for my motor at £14.09 http://www.windscreenwipers.co.uk/skoda_wiper_blades-octavia-2004-to-2012-windscreen-wiper-blades/
  8. I know this is a old thread but just came to it and thought I have seen something about this. recently I had the Inlet Manifold problem and was searching to see if I could find out anything about the wiring I ended up finding loads of diagrams of wiring and looms at https://www.partsbase.org/skoda/octavia-oct-eu/ The database is a bit hard to navigate I used my model and engine code While I was searching there were loads of diagrams of various looms etc which might well be useful in answering this question for anyone who still needs to know.
  9. Hi I have 2L TDI BKD I just popped out and took some photos in the dark hope they help.
  10. Thanks to all for your thoughts and advice. Update Have removed and cleaned ERG and Inlet flap as per the spot on advice on a topic in this forum from plantman, I have cleared the Error and so far it has not come back on. Next I will get the breaks ordered up. Thanks again
  11. Cheers for that. Brakes have got to go on the back burner for now as now have a P3103 Intake manifold flap light, Its running Ok but I cleared fault and it came back after a short run it never rains....
  12. Hi I know this is a bit old but I have recently had the P3103 Fault code (Motor for intake manifold flap (V157), the car runs well nothing feels wrong but I have also just had to replace a rear brake light bulb. I saw your reference to a possible link above but I could not see a post you might have been referring to. Can you remember where it is? Ta
