This price includes the trims, rubber seals and the labour.
I'm going to look into the wrapping cost and will write back in a few days once I have the figures.
I'll be really interested to see if the wrapping can be done and cost.

Just had a quote for replacement of all the window trims....
£1606.66 parts and labour for Chrome trim
£1520.57 parts and labour for Sportline trim
The above include the £495.00 labour costs for each fitting as apparently the rear curved trim actually hold in the rear windows and they therefore require careful resealing afterwards.
Wow that is expensive, how can they justify this when a complete factory built car would set you back just over £22k?!!! It will be interesting to know if the trims can be wrapped and what cost.

I have almost eliminated the white marks on the chrome trim, I used WD40 it has taken some rubbing and it is not quick but it seems to work.

Thanks for your comments, I have arranged a Visit to the dealer's for inspection.

Has anyone noticed marks on "chrome " window trims yet.
White marks formed on trims. Spot polishing with car cream polish does not shift it.
Is this a known issue? -
Ordered SE L 5 seat last week at Bedford dealers, £1,000 difference than 7 seater.

Another trick is to check out the adaptation channels of the bluetooth module with VCDS, one of them should allow you to increase the gain for bluetooth music which will help.
Thanks this sounds a posdible solution.

Thanks Wile7, I will try this.

When playing music from my phone via bluetooth, I have to turn the volume up on the columbus, and when I disconnect the phone should I forget to reduce the volume the sound from the columbus unit is so loud. Can anyone advise how to normalise the sound so that when I use bluetooth I do not have to adjust the volume?
Thanks

Thanks for the info Mannyo.

Will do. Thanks

Mine arrived today, pretty speedy delivery service. Only downside is it does not have any slot to allow cables for Aux. Connection of say mp3 player, that said it looks neat.

Thanks Too Tall, good advise as usual.

Hi Too Tall,Welcome, here you will find a good guide I use.
Do you have an English language version or where I could get one? Or is it a matter of using translate?
Thanks anyway

I guess it's not wise to drive with auto mode lights, as today I was driving in daytime albeit dismal with some fog, I got stopped by police telling me to turn my lights on, as dlr's were not sufficient. I had no idea that the auto mode would only work at a certain lux that did not include fog.

Hi
How do you set the electric boot to open/close from the key fob, via vcds?.
Thanks
-
Oh, big speedo readout and easy entry/exit (seat moves back/forward when getting in and out)
Simeon just did mine with VCDS at the weekend
What a difference, well happy!
It all depends on what ABS you have whether it can be activated
Also enabled XDS as well, although I havent tried that out yet
Hi Damo
What is the action required on VCDS to get these options, especially XDS?.
Thanks

Audible camera alerts are possible it's just not directly from the POIs though.
If you have the pocketGPSworld cameralert app then you can set the app to alert you to cameras via Bluetooth. So when you approach a camera you see it on the screen as an icon and you get the warning from your phone via the Bluetooth in the car out of the speakers.
Basically it comes through as though you have an incoming call etc... It does mean you lose the satnav screen for a few seconds while the warning is read out but at least you get audible warnings.
Thanksfor the info I'll give that one a go.
Cheers

Yes it is but there are a couple of things you need to do.
Firstly you need your speed camera POI database. (I use the PocketGPSWorld database).
Then you need to have a read through this thread.... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/246805-guide-to-vw-poi-collections-loader-site/
That shows you how to convert the speed camera database you have into a POI file that your Columbus can use.
Note the Columbus can only show a limited number of POIs. When using speed camera POIs on my TomTom app I have different POIs for each speed limit and camera type whereas on the Columbus I just have a POI category for the Camera type.
Thanks for this.
Aren't they safety cameras?
I'll get my coat and run for cover
I'm not sure about safety cameras, all I ever see when driving is signs stating "Police speed check" or "Average speed cameras"
