Brilliant, thank you everyone. Yes, it's a 2017 outdoor (one of the last ones off the boat ! mine from new) I haven't done anything as yet. The next morning it was all working again, BUT it's dropped out a couple of times since. None of the side buttons will work (left or right side), and the touchscreen doesn't work. The unit is "stuck" on wherever it was when it "dropped out". Makes me think this is a dry joint somewhere. I've found a link for a repair firm but not done anything about it as yet. At £1500 from Skoda the cost of a replacement is prohibitive to say the least ! As a person whose always had Hondas it's very disappointing after only 6 years (30K miles) but nothing lasts forever, especially these days !

Help ! Out of the blue today the head unit on my Yeti 1.2 outdoor has (partially) stopped working. Not working ; Always comes on the the last radio station I was listening to. None of the side buttons ; Phone, Media, Nav etc work None of the touch screen functions, eg can't change band, DAB/FM, a different station, scan etc etc. Working ; Volume - both knob and steering wheel On/Off switch Parking sensors Power off, key out, WAIT, power on has NOT WORKED Is there a "reset" switch or a startup combo to reset or am I looking at an expensive visit to a dealer ?

1.2 Yeti outdoor DSG. Always had GY Efficient grip. Anyone found anything better ?

Can anyone tell me if there's an after market power tailgate kit for the Yeti please ? OR if anyone has successfully used the option from a Karoq or similar ? I have a July 2017 Yeti Outdoor (one of the last off the boat !) There's a serious reason behind this, my wife is blind and the Yeti has a Trans-K9 dog crate for safe transportation of her guide dog. I'd Like to make it as easy as possible to open (and close) the tailgate. Thanks in advance !

Hello. I hope someone can help. I've identified the motor, part number 6Y2959802 as the issue. My questions are ; 1. Does the part # have to be an EXACT match or are there equivalent parts (eg VW) that can be used ? 2. What significance do the other numbers have ? eg SK240DDRS ?

Thanks Lee - Have you fitted these ? I found the Euro Car Parts advert and messaged them with my reg number and they said they weren't compatible ? I wasn't sure if they meant the self leveling motors which i dont use and dont really need Regards David

Hello Love my 2006 Fabia Mk1 VRS in black. At last MOT I was advised both headlight units would need to be replaced, due to the internal structure of the reflector being "borderline" to be able to perform the test. I've looked without success for after-market units. Ebay seems to be awash with units but they're for L/H cars. The Audi / VW offical parts are £150 each. Anyone advise on an aftermarket product a bit cheaper please ? Thanks, David

Oh no, I hear you groan - not another tyre post ! Can someone explain to me if it's important to get tyres for my VRS (170) with a XL rating as this seems to limit your choice. I know it's down to personal choice which make, but any real world experiences with this car welcome. Thanks David

It’s done 122K so I’m assuming it’s on the original suspension and it’s ready, so looking for a quality direct replacement. Could you suggest a few manufacturers? I don’t have a bottomless pit for a budget but happy to spend more for a good quality product

Thanks, I’m not concerned just wondered what the explanation was. When you look at the KMH version there’s no “gaps”. Is there a simpler explanation that they just couldn’t be bothered to make a proper MPH version ?

New Mk1 owner. Been staring at the speedo, there’s no 100mph marking. Markings don’t seem linear. What’s the explanation for this ?

Great, found it, tested it. It was in the manual which I haven't read yet. Manual is so much better than my 2011 Octavia which was very confusing. Any further thoughts on the missing covers and what the hex does - see pics above ? No doubt the dealer will fix, but I'm curious to know what the screws do and WHY on a new car would need both to be removed and not re-fitted ?

Thanks again everyone, here's a picture of the offside, but the nearside is the same (just the other way around), the little circle is the parking sensor ?, there are two more either side of the front number plate, the issue is the exposed hex bolt, this looks as though it should have a cover, missing both sides.

Thanks everyone, it's an outdoor so it has front parking sensors, need to read how these work as only seem to display when you're in reverse ? Makes no sense, however these are in place, they look like covers exposes access to hex nuts. Back to the dealer in the morning anyway. I'll post a pic shortly.

Help ! I've just collected a 17 plate Yeti, and there appear to be two small plastic covers missing from the lower front bumper trim, one on each side. Exposed is a Allen key head, are these headlight adjusters ? I rang the dealer but they were no help, thought I meant the headlight washers. They're above the fog lights, there are three vertical bars about 30mm. And the this square hole

Hi Skoda & TDI newbie, suffering. Had a dealer change EGR valve/cooler, (fortunately under warranty !) on my Oct II 1.6 TDI, since I've had wispy smoke when stopping (nothing drastic but its there) from under the bonnet. There's a fumes smell from near the DPF towards the centre back of the engine bay. I managed to take this photo with a mirror on a stick and an iPhone showing recent soot build up on the bolt between the turbo and the DPF. Questions : 1. Do I have an exhaust leak ? 2. Are parts in this area removed/replaced as part of an EGR replacement ? or 3. Is this a separate and unrelated problem ? if so what ? Here's hoping someone can help me !
