Hi M-T-C
Have you had any joy with your radio unit?
I had my built in sat nav give me trouble, as touch screen virtually stopped working. (2017 Yeti SE Drive)
I found out that it is the touchscreen digitizer.
This is the part I purchased & it did rectify the problem.
For VW Skoda MIB2 MIB STD2 Radio Multimedia Navi 6.5'' Touch Screen Digitizer
Ebay number...384454830977
After reading & watching a you-tube video, I found it quite easy to do.
Once apart, you fit the new one on top of the old one.
Of course you remove the ribbon cable from old screen to multi plug and with a bit of masking tape, stick it up out the way.
If you need any other info just shout, I'll help if I can.

Brilliant, thank you. I haven't done anything as yet. The next morning it was all working again, BUT it's dropped out a couple of times since. None of the side buttons will work, and the touchscreen doesn't work. The unit is "stuck" on wherever it was when it "dropped out". Makes me think this is a dry joint somewhere. I've found a link for a repair firm but not done anything about it as yet. At £1500 from Skoda the cost of a replacement is prohibitive to say the least ! As a person whose always had Hondas it's very disappointing after only 6 years (30K miles) but nothing lasts forever, especially these days !

Hi
Re the "I've found a link for a repair firm"
Yes I used them.
I sent my radio/nav off to them and email back saying £475 + vat to repair.
I refused & asked for the unit back. Next came a revised offer of repair £275 + vat.
I again asked for the unit back which they did do. Had to pay return postage, I expected that anyway.
I ordered the part from ebay & fitted it myself. £23.
I just got the impression they were out to get me. But I was wise to that.
Keep safe
